Hey All,
So after installing the 10.3.9 update Safari crashes immediately upon start-up. I've reinstalled the Combo updater a couple times, and deleted the usual com.apple.safari.plist type files. I had SafariStand and Saft installed before the update, but I have since disabled them to make sure they weren't causing the crash.
Anyone have any ideas? I've heard 1.3 is quite a bit faster and am eager to try it.
Here is a portion of the crash log (I can post the whole thing if helpful):
===============

i've had safari crash when closing tabs on a multi-tabbed window. it's an instant crash with no error message or anything. so instant in fact that the first time it happened i thought i'd closed the window instead of the tab by mistake, until i noticed safari was no longer running.
it's happened three times now

This might sound dumb but have you tried deleting safari altogether?

Yeah, I deleted Safari altogether and then reinstalled the combo updated (I can't find a stand-alone installer for just Safari 1.3 yet). Still no luck.

Ideas anyone? Sorry to bump the thread but I've deleted everything related to Safari I can think of (including Safari itself) and reinstalled the 10.3.9 combo updater several time with no luck. Safari literally crashes within two bounces in the dock when I launch it.

**Update
OK, I got the problem solved. When I removed Saft I didn't actually run the uninstaller, which apparently you must do. I downloaded the most recent copy of Saft, ran the uninstaller, and things are back to normal now.
