I've been happy with an older version of Vuescan, but the new OCR feature is of great interest.

If you're using it, is it decent? I don't want to pay the $$$ for OmniPro.

I used it pretty recently. I was scanning 2 pages of text only -- no graphics, all in a line, etc.

It worked pretty darn well, especially since I already had vuecan and merely updated it. The others are very expensive, in my own opinion, especially since I need OCR rather infrequently.

I THINK VueScan has even upgraded its OCR in the past 3 or 4 weeks. I haven't checked that out for sure, though.
