I'm trying to stream Internet Radio to my computer and am having trouble with a site apparently designed for Internet Explorer. The URL is: http://mpbfm.ig.com.br/ It's a great local radio station here in Rio. I want to get it on my computer so that I can stream audio to a better pair of speakers than I have on my Radio.

At first I couldn't get the site to stream audio to even my Mac laptop speakers when using Safari.* (No problem with IE.)* With Safari I got an error message to the effect that I didn't have the Windows Media plugin and couldn't read Active/x such and such.* I saw that someone on the Macintouch site had suggested "More Internet" as a work around for a similar problem so I downloaded that. Long story short, I can get the audio through Safari.

BUT, I still want to play the stream through iTunes (like I can do with other radio sites) so that I can use my Airport Express to get better sound through larger speakers.* Can it be done? Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks for the Airfoil tip. That's in fact what I ended up doing and it works reliably.

Now if I could only get the audio played through Airport Express to sync with the video of my DVDs. ;-)

Thanks again,

Well, my Express, (second one, first won't even turn on anymore ) whether streaming from my iMac via Ethernet-->Airport Extreme~~~WDS~~~Airport Express drops out (dropped chunks of audio, etc.). Worse, streaming from PowerBook~~~Airport Express sucks (also, but less(!)). From the iTunes share on the iMac. Bad.

Sigh. gd apple
