I need an application like Adobe Illustrator, Sodipodi, or Inkscape. These are SVG imaging tools. I can't afford Adobe Illustrator ($500) inless someone knows how to get a big discount on it heh.

So mainly my question is does anyone know of a nice application like these? Hopefully free?

Adobe Illustrator can be found at www.adobe.com (Windows/Mac)
Sodipodi can be found at www.sodipodi.com (Windows/Linux/and Unstable on Mac)
Inkscape can be found at www.inkscape.org (Windows/Linux)

Okay then.... thanks for all the replies, you can stop I've solved the problem - just buy illustrator.

Try Sketsa. It's an X11 app I believe, but free. You can find a new release of it on MacUpdate or VersionTracker.
