how do i back up my bookmarks that are in firefox. is there a folder i can dig in and save all the bookmark files?

my powerbook needs to go back to the shop. looks like they didnt fix the hinge the first time. it was fine when i got it back, but two weeks later and i'm getting the creak again!

figure i should do a wipe and get a nice fresh laptop back just in time for tiger. all help is greatly appreciated.

anything else i should remember to backup?

Do you have .Mac? You can backup everything to your iDisk, or to a CD or external drive.

If not, should also backup your mail, address book info, iTunes playlists, iCal data.

no .mac

i have a cd burner built into this powerbook.

itunes mp3's i've sent to my pc (in itunes original file structure)

no ical since last wipe... no new itunes songs on current powerbook...

just wondering how to save mail/firefox bookmarks, so i can just pop them in
then again .. i may just be using safari 2

is that going to be in tiger? in any case. looks like i'm going to wipe my powerbook soon (eta .. few minutes?) so i can drop it off on my way to work or after work .. depending on sleep patterns =)

thanks again Randman

Just back up your entire user folder, and that should take care of it.
