Bad font spacing in Fireworks MX

After installing a new font in the OS X fontbook (true type font) All my applications with the exception of Fireworks are behaving correctly. Fireworks MX, however is screwing up the spacing for some reason. Anybody got an idea on how to fix this?

Screwing up spacing in the interface, or in the graphics you create?

The graphics and typed text with this font has bad spacing.
