NO, I don't have a solution. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas of a way to make Garage band play through Airtunes and AEX.

Of course, one can finish a project and then export to iTunes (mp3) and then play it, but...I have a large and powerful stereo system which is fed by the Airport Express (so I can play Airtunes through it), but it is just inconvenient to set up all my musical instruments, keyboards, Garage band things next to that amp. Also, it is nice to play some itunes things and then switch back to Garage band. Or just to hear the "nearing completion" projects in real time.

Is this possible at all? Theoretically? To make Garage band feed something that pretends to be an audio file for itunes to play?

Any ideas?

Airfoil.

Note: it takes a few seconds to hear audio being fed to Airtunes, so expect mucho latency if you're still in the editing stages.

i use airfoil with reason, and logic.
because of the delay (airtunes has this too, btw), it's good only for playing back mixes, work in progress (altho i can edit things while it's running, of course)

but a great way to check work out.
just not real time (yet...)
