Hey all,
I'm having some bizarre problems with iSync with my Palm. When I try to hotsync my palm, it doesn't load up iSync. It goes through all the preliminary stuff, then gets stuck at "Synchronizing iSync Conduit." I have the latest version of the conduit installed, as well as the latest version of iSync, iCal, etc. Has anyone ever experienced this before, or know how to fix it?

I just wanted to confirm that I am having the same issues. I believe I have successfully synced my Palm Tungsten T3 with iCal via iSync after my Tiger upgrade, but honestly cannot be sure. I think I was syncing everything else, installing applications, voice-messages, pictures, and the like, but was not syncing the Addressbook or Calendar.
I have tried unpublishing my calendar thinking it might have been an iCal issue. I have forced a slow sync in iSync. I have clicked the iSync > Device > Enable Palm OS Syncing... several times. I even deleted the ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/* directories in an attempt to clear any corruption.
None of this worked. I have only lightly dug on the web. iSync v2 is now included with Tiger. I happen to have the 10.4.1 updates installed so my iSync is actually v2.0 (79). My iCal is v2.0.1 (1029).
Anyone have any clues? I am desperate to sync my device as I am getting a new Treo 650 to replace my BlackBerry 7520 and my Tungsten T3 into a single device. I _need_ to sync! Help!

in 10.4 (etc), isync doesn't visibly open, but works (i prefer this, not having to quit isync after every hotsync).
but jazzcat...something else is happening for you if you're getting stuck.
what os are you running? we no longer need the palm/isync conduit download in 10.4...

If you have a Previous System, this often works:
1. From the Previous System
2. Go to the Computer/Library "CFM Support" folder,
3. And copy the complete folder/use it to fully replace (or install) the same named folder in your new system.
4. Restart.
5. Repair Permissions.
With so many different PDAs, there can be no guarantee the above will work, but it's worth a try (IMNHO).
