Is there a single folder somewhere that holds all your iTunes files? I want to reformat my hard drive in preparation for Tiger. I don't want to save a mirror of my hard drive because I want to reinstall all software from scratch. I would like to save all iTunes files without having to save libraries or playlist seperately.

It should be
Home -> Music -> iTunes

Back up that folder and it will include your music and your playlists, etc.

Before saving just the itunes folder in ~/Music you need to double check that's the folder that itunes uses (it's by default but some users change it). prefs and advance will tell you were the folder is.

Secondly you might want to consolidate your music to that folder if you think you have files running around. go to advance in the menu bar and consolidate.
