I'm going to do a clean Tiger install, all my music is backed up on my iPod and what not. Would the proper procedure be to de-authorize the computer and then re-authorize it after I install Tiger? I think I have 4 computers currently authorized to my account so I don't want it to get locked out when I do a clean install.

Thoughts?

and I'll be using Senuti to recover the music and database from the iPod... just thought I'd throw that out there before I got tons and tons of messages about losing my music

Yes, you should. I didn't and had to reauthorize after a clean install + import from external drive.

Apparently authorization will survive even a hard drive reformat.

Look Here...

"While you may need to enter your account information again after initializing the hard disk, initializing the hard disk itself does not remove the computer from the list of authorized computers. If you plan to initialize the hard disk prior to selling or donating your computer, deauthorize the computer first, then initialize the hard disk."
