Vuescan broken with Tiger?

I did an Archive and Install this afternoon and now it appears that Vuescan is broken. When I turn on my Minolta 5400, Vuescan hangs and has to be force quit. Some of the buttons don't appear to be drawn properly either. Other than that, Tiger is fine.

There's a new version of Vuescan, 8.2.10, which works with Tiger, although in my case I had to trash com.hamrick.plist and vuescan.ini in order to get things back to normal.
