I don't use Excel often, but when I do, I need it to work! I just opened up a doc and tried to copy a cell. I got this message: "Cannot Empty the Clipboard". If you actually open up the clipboard (View->Office Clipboard) it's empty.

I've updated Office (v.X) to the latest (10.1.6) and performed a "repair permissions". No dice. Doesn't matter what doc, either - a brand new, empty doc has the same problem. I've Googled this, and found some references to problems with Office 97 on Windows - nothing for the Mac on Offive v.X.

Anyone seen this before? Better yet, anyone know how to solve it?

I've been an Excel power user for 9 years now. I have NEVER had this come up.
I mostly work with Excel on PCs, but also sometimes with Excel (Office v. X).

Sorry that I can't help you.
