I've just bought the excellent Formac Studio DV and now have a lot of my old VHS tapes on my Mac in .DV format. I want to burn these to standard DVDs and want to get as much as I can on each disk. What's the best and quickest way to do this? Toast can do it but only seems to want to put 1 hour on each disk, and the Formac software also seems very slow to convery to MPEG2 which I think is what I need?. Can I export them from QT Pro into a format that won't take hours of encoding in Toast? My EyeTV works really well with Toast but these .dv files are huge and anything takes hours.

Any help appreciated! I'm off to order a bigger hard disk now!
