I have just upgraded to 10.4 and all is OK apart from major problems accessing our main on-line accounting site. When you enter the URL that contains the https://(site)............... the response is:-

Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “my URL” because the network connection was reset, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might be able to open the page later.

I tried changing the User Agent to Windows MSIE 6.0 but no joy. It works great in Omniweb 5.1 and even the old Mac IE 5.2, Firefox and Camino. I delete all cookies and cleared the cache but no joy.

The only work around was to revert back to the cloned back-up I had made prior to the upgrade, and use 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3, which works perfectly.

BUT its a little SAD that a major OS update like this should force us to use an older version of the OS in order to be compliant.

Any thoughts, help or work around would be greatly appreciated.
