I'm trying to stream music off an website and it supports two formats... wmv and real.
When i click on wmv.. nothing windows media player loads up and nothing plays.

Now.. when i click on real, a file downloads with the *.smil extension and Quicktime automaticly loads it up; it however does not play in Quicktime.

When I right click on the file and open it up with RealPlayer, then it loads no problems.

I've gone through the settings of Quicktime(disabling) and RealPlayer(enabling) file types.. but it still doesn't work..

Any ideas?

This is covered in RealPlayer's Online Help. Choose Troubleshooting from RealPlayer's Help menu, then scroll down the list on the left to find Troubleshooting -> Launching Player -> Other Programs launch.
