For anybody else having trouble with this there is a good hint on versiontracker. First delete the
.plist in ~/Library/Preferences. Second launch CodeTek Virtual Desktop and set it up with your favourite settings, license code etc. Third lock the .plist in Finder. Now it will survive logging in and out but if you want to change the prefs you need to unlock and then lock again.
