First, let me salute DiskWarrior for being able to deal with the "Keys in the wrong order" problem. However, it is completely brain-dead in its dealing with permissions. It should behave like its in single-user-mode, not like its booted up proper!!

It has a valid looking Preview Directory built. However, due to lack of extra space on the disk, it suggests I copy the files off from the Preview before writing back out the Directory. Fine... I figured I'd copy it off to my external backup drive. Unfortunately, it tells me that I don't have permission to see all the files on the disk. Well, duh... obviously... I'm not even logged in as ANY user... I'm booted up on the DiskWarrior CD... there are no users!! So, why the hell is it enforcing privileges... that's just stupid.

So, although it rebuilt the directory and can completely trash the whole disk, it won't let me violate permissions! How stupid is that??!??

Anyway, does anybody know how to work around this? Or do I have to just hope that the write out of the Directory doesn't screw-up... or I'll be left with only each users' public directories backed up.
