If I'm running a Mac and I rip a bunch of stuff to iTunes, buy a bunch of other stuff, etc. is there a way to transition all that to a new Mac when I upgrade?

Migration Assistant can transition the files. However, you must deauthorize the old mac if you are no longer going to use it.
