I have a 15" G4 laptop and i just got ilife '05. When i tried to open an old film project with iMovie HD it seemed not to render some clips and sudio while it was opening. Then when i opened it the audio didn't work at all. Even when i click on audio in imovie to import or even listen to a song it doesnt work. I tried dragging a song to the clip line but it didnt import. this is the weirdest problem i've had with my mac and it's the first time i can't fix it. Please help me!

Hmmm seems strange, have you tried deleting the preferences files?

Have you tried repairing permissions?

Having the same problem on two different computers, both on Tiger, both on 5.0.2. One laptop, iBook G3 800 MHZ the other a G4 1.5ghz. Repaired permissions on both laptops. Haven't reinstalled the applications, yet.

It was working fine in 10.3.9. But, now, in Tiger, the video freezes, the audio is fine.

Nice to see it's not just me...

I've check with my other older iMovie projects and they run fine.

So let me narrow down my original question:

The project I was trying to play is a 9-10 Gig file.

Is anyone else having problems with large older iMoive Projects playing in iMovie HD, but the video barely works, but, the sound is aok?
