I know what it was -- it was a hacksie called ClearDock (version 1.3). I guess I shall wait for the Tiger version of Transparent Dock instead

Yeah, that is something that ClearDock does incorrectly and TransparentDock does correctly...the TransparentDock update is right around the corner!
