So uh... I go to check my hotmail today, and I apparently am unable to access their website? Everytime I try to go to www.hotmail.com, my Safari browser downloads a small file called silent.srf. ???

I noticed that the last time I logged into hotmail on a windows PC there was some change in the UI. Could this have be causing the problem- MS changing something under the hood?

I'm on a PB 15" OS 10.3.9 with whichever latest Safari is availble for Panther (1.3 v312)

im using a 17" PB with OS 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3 (312) and im using hotmail just fine

not sure what the prob might be but it sounds to me like some kind of spyware or virus.. but on a mac? i dont know... im kind of a new user to macs but that sort of thing only happens on pc's right?

Oddly enough it all works fine now... maybe the server was down temporarily or something...?
