If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize. Is there any way to applescript menu bar items to activate or quit? Specifically, I'm talking about Meteorologist, You Control: iTunes, MenuMeters, and MenuCalenderClock. I use these items a lot, but on my pokey G3 powerbook, they can really slow the system down when I'm running Photoshop. Currently, I just manually quit them all when I need to use a resource-hungry app, and restart them when I'm done, but it'd be great to have an applescript to do this for me automatically. Is there any way to do this?

This program may help you (but I haven't tried it myself)...

Thanks for the link. I may try that app out if I can't figure out a solution via applescript. I ended up able to solve the problem easily for Meteorologist, YouControl:iTunes, and MenuCalendarClock. Since they're applications, I just told them to quit. I still can't figure out a way to turn MenuMeters off with applescript. If anyone has any ideas, that'd be great. Otherwise, this'll work fine.
