Just did a clean install of tiger tonight and was trying to get all my prefs, settings, mail etc over to the new system (from a backup that I did last nite). When I tried to import mailbox into the new mail I had major problems. first I tried just dragging the mail folder from my old ~/library folder to my new ~/library folder. That didn't work. Then I tried importing with the import mailboxes menu item. That seemed to work; all my old mailboxes were put into an "imported" folder. I then drag them out of that folder and delete the "imported" folder. i then quit Mail and restart it. None of those imported mailboxes were there?! If I look into my new ~/library/mail folder I discovered all of them inside a folder called "Local-(null)@(null)". Now I am afraid to do anything... anyone has any idea what I can do to restore these mailboxes into Mail2.0?
Another question that I have is I also had 4 pop mail accounts set up in Mail 1.0. Is there any way I can import those mail accounts over to Mail 2.0 easily since I have backuped everything? I'm not even sure that I remember some of those passwords...
