I just got my copy of Office 2004 for Students in today (can't install until I get home, we're all Dells here), and I noticed on the package it says it automatically installs MSN Messenger 4. Do they allow a custom install like the Windows versions of Office do?

(I know I can just drag the app to the trash, but I hate being forced to install things from the get go.)

Yes, just use the installer and select "custom".
I do not like those green links and spam.

Or, since most people just install by dragging over the folder, just trash Messenger after it finishes copying.

How did your install go? Sometimes installers are not all that great or clear. Just curious if MS got it right or wrong.
