im working on a project and need some help doing something in excel:

i have a coulmn in excel that is the name of subjects. the rest of the columns are data. i wish the make the NAME column stationary - so that when i scroll through the data, I can still see the NAME column. i dont want it to scroll.

how do i do this? please help soon. thanks in advance!

Howdy. Very easy to do.

Select the cell that is just to the right of the column you want to freeze, and one row below what you want to freeze on the top (Say your Name column is in Column B, and you have a heading for each of the other columns in row 1, then select cell C2).

Then go to Window >Freeze pane.

Should be set.
Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage in meaningful dialog
very long. Therefore, management asks that you at least humor him. Thanks.
