So I bought a brand new 100gb drive for my Powerbook and installed Tiger on it fresh. I am trying to reinstall all my applications on Tiger. When I try to install Illustrator 10 or Photoshop7, for example, I get

""The selected disk is a network server volume. The installer cannot install on network server volumes. Please select another disk."

This happened when I installed Office v.X, too. But that CD allows you to drag n drop a folder into the applications directory to get around the installer's hangups. Not so with Adobe's applications, apparently.

What is going on? I've searched the web and Apple boards but cannot seem to find anyone with the same problem. I've run Tiger Cache Cleaner, scoured my configs, etc...but don't understand why these apps won't installl.

Thanks.
Do you want forgiveness or respect?
