Is it just me, but does the Pilot mode in Cocktail work much fatser now than it ever did in Jaguar and Panther? It used to take anywhere from 5-10 minutes and now it takes a minute or less. It great that it's faster, but I was just wondering if it's just me...

Isn't the prebinding one of the methods these apps use to waste your time? Running sudo update_prebinding -root / in the Terminal bails out in about three seconds on my machine. Maybe Apple has built something into the update_prebinding tool to detect if it's not needed.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
