Attempting to update DW from 3.02 to 3.03; I get to "Please insert a blank CD" ... "Writing track" ... then: "The device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media".
And what device might this be? The burner? (SONY DVD RW DW-U10A).
I don't get it.
Or maybe it's the installer? I haven't had trouble burning CDs ...

I get those errors when trying to burn DVDs sometimes on my old Dual 800.
Never really figured out the cause.

Seriously, I can't help and I'd panic seeing any message like that. I suppose I'll update DW and see what happens.
