Hi

I have been using cuteftp Mac2 pro but now i have tiger i have aproblem i can see its accepted my username and password and logged me in but then ive noticed this bit which i believe is the problem
MACB ENABLE
500 MACB not understood

then it just hangs and goes no further ,, ive downloaded the latest tiger version but its the same

any help appreciated

This obviously is not the answer you're looking for, but cute FTP is popular on Windows, not the Mac. Here are some of the most popular Mac FTP clients:

MACB most likely stands for Mac Binary. I think it's only relevant if the server you're using is also a Mac. I don't use Cute FTP, but most FTP clients have a preference that allows you to change the default transfer mode. I always just leave it set to auto, the other choices are generally Binary, and ASCII. Set it to Binary for data files, and ASCII for text files (including HTML).
