I have a 17" iMac and want an iPhoto slideshow that will fill the screen while doing the "Ken Burns Effect." I went to settings for that slideshow and followed the directions below that I found in iPhoto help:

Select "Scale photos to fill screen" so black borders don't appear with photos that aren't cropped to the correct size ratio for your display.

But I still get black borders. And, yes, I did hit the OK button before leaving the settings panel, as well as choose "Current Display" from the Slideshow Format choice at the bottom. Interestingly, the slideshow has black borders on all four sides, about 3/4 inch at top and bottom and 1 inch at left and right sides.

I am using iPhoto 5.0.2. Many thanks for any help.

iPhoto changes the resolution to 800x600 for slideshows on some computers, and you get the black borders and slightly fuzzy photos.

I don't know why they do that; I think it's done for Macs with lower quality graphics chips. I get the borders with my TiBook but not my iMac.
