I need to move my saved auto-complete addresses from my 10.3.9 backup to my 10.4 install. I have does this before after an upgrade, so I know its possible, but I forgot what file I need to copy over. Does anyone know where these addresses are saved? They are not in any Address Book files. There somewhere with Mail.app files. I can't find it Spotlight didn't help...

Have you tried to copy your 10.3.9 "Mail" folder? (placed inside your Home -> Library), when I install a new Mac OS X version I use to copy that Mail folder plus some Mail Preferences to keep all my Mail stuff OK.

That keeps all my account info OK, but not the autofill email addresses.
I also tried "com.apple.mail.plist" in the "~/preferences" folder and that didn't get them either.
I'm out of ideas.

Hum, I think I found something. In Mail go to the 'Window' Menu, there you can see the Menu Item 'Previous Recipients', open it, now you can add all those items to your Address Book so in the future you have them available. I have found the file that has all those Previous Recipients, I hope you can find it under 10.3.9, it is placed here:

your Home folder -> Library -> Application Support -> Address Book -> "AddressBook.data.previous"

Check if you have that file under 10.3.9 and place it under 10.4. Well, maybe you could copy that Address Book folder and get Mail finally working for you.

That single file did nothing, but when I copied the whole "AddressBook" folder it worked like a charm. Thanks.
