Okay, before you say "My, THAT's a stupid question!", hear me out. I have been using a mac since I was old enough to reach the keyboard of a 4.5" floppy Apple II. I KNOW Macs generally don't get spyware. Lately, though, I've been having this weird window pop up, and Safari's popup blocker doesn't block it. I find I'm not alone, but no one can explain it (Yes I googled it)
Uh, just because a particular pop-up has been coded to circumvent the blocker does not mean you have spyware. There have been other threads about these occurrences; in fact, this type of story hit the 'net a couple of months ago now.

Actually, though Google didn't help you, this very subject has been discussed on this very forum a few weeks or months ago, when this new breed of pop-ups first appeared.
