My fiancée just bought a 15" PowerBook to match mine (she was a windows user all her life). Woohoo! However, she has several years' worth of email in her MSN Hotmail app "on her computer", i.e. not on Hotmail's servers. In fact, she's cancelled her MSN account.

My question is this: how can I best export the old emails for import into Mail.app (in Tiger)?

I found these two pages that might help ... I'm wondering if there's a better way to do it, or if this is the way I should try.

Getting archived mail from MSN (.dbx files)

Converting .dbx files to .mbox

Any thoughts? I haven't tried this yet (she wants to be here when I do it).

Get a mail account with an IMAP server. Push it from Outlook or Outlook Express to the server, and "pull" it via mail.app.
