Am currently building it using these instrucions.

Admittedly I know next to nothing about software programming, but I was spurred on by Mr Hyatt's promise that rendering speed is further improved over v2.

There's a script included that allows you to run Safari with the new Webkit + JavaScriptCore without replacing the current system frameworks.

It will mean that they could fix the Webcore bugs that they encounter themselves, rather than having to come up with code work arounds.

Omni were contemplating ditching their custom Webcore in favour of the vanilla Apple framework, so if they follow through with that CVS access will be great for them.

Ok, finally got it to work - passes the Acid2 test perfectly, and eBay is a bit quicker to load but other than that haven't seen much difference.

Use the directions on this page to create a copy of Safari that will always use the dev version of the frameworks. I'm using it right now, it rocks something fierce.
