Hello world

Since I saw Steve's keynote something hit my mind :
did he use intel compiled version of the iApps?
when he used rosetta, it worked, but take a look at the time it took for photoshop to launch.... now look iPhoto! boom!
We know that Tiger for intel exists, we know that universal binaries are possible with xcode 2.1 and that it's not really hard to port software on intel... so did AAPL already do that for its apps?
"It's not a bug, it's a feature..."
I do love these guys....

This has been covered in other threads. iApps work on both platforms out of the box. PS may have looked slow but it was 5 seconds faster than a PPC chip at 1.5Ghz with 1.5GB of ram running no other apps.

All the current Cocoa iApps are universal binaries on the dev machines, with iTunes being Intel only.

It's been revealed this morning that Apple ported Firefox to Mactel, and have given the source to the Mozilla foundation.

I'm glad to see thus far at least, that Apple is going about this the right way.
