Hi!

Doesanyone know how to access damaged/corrupted? mailboxes, so that they can be opened once more. There are valuable e-mail addresses and messages that I REALLY do not want to lose!

Maybe it can be fed into a text reader or other programme? If so, which ones, please?
Or is there some other solution?

Thanks...

Spats.

The Mail program has a rebuild mailbox option. Did you try that?

You can also try a program like Emailchemy, which is fabulous at converting mailbox types. It may be able to pull stuff out.

Try using Eudora. You may need to set the file types to the same as a Eudora mailbox, but they are mbox files, and I know from hard-learned experience that Eudora will open any mbox, even a corrupted one, and will extract any messages from it. Then you can just create a new mailbox and drag the desired messages to it.
