Hi

So when you go to a website that only takes IE, is there a way to fool the site into thinking you are using IE?

Nope, it's absolutely impossible.

Enabling a Debug Menu
Open the Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and enter the following:
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

Restart Safari. The debug menu enables many options, like setting security levels and spoofing the user agent.

Setting Safari to Spoof Another Browser
Enable the Debug Menu (see this hint), and go to Debug:User Agent:Browser you want to spoof. This will automatically reload the page you are on, and set the new user agent until you restart Safari.
