Since updating to v312 of 1.3 (Panther) I've experienced the old problems with JS and incessant fan. I'd like to revert to the previous version I was using and would appreciate any and all advice re: how to do so. Many thanks.

You can't unless you reinstall Panther and update to the pint you want. Of course, for that trouble, you might as well go to Tiger.

Archive and Install is the better option, if you have the disk space.

What exactly were your problems with Safari 1.3?

Thanks for the replies.

My current problems are the same as I was having before the latest update (v312).

Very slow web browsing on JS sites and interminable fan. I was previously running 1.3 (non v312) with no worries.

Web browsing is now just as bad as it was previous to 1.3

try downloading and reinstalling the last java update for 10.3.x...i seem to recall some people saying that it fixed some of the issues they were having.

Where can I find that update. All changes I've made have been through the Software Update w/in the system. Thanks!
