I've downloaded Mozilla Firefox.2 to be used as a browser, along with Safari, which was provided in the Max OS x software update, but i'm not able to extract or open these programs to complete the install. a box comes up and says "that is not a file that Quicktime understands".. Can anybody help me??

Looks like QT is trying to open up the firefox file. Just out of curiosity did you double checked that you downloaded Firefox for Mac (and not for PC)?
