Well, I've installed The Missing Sync from Mark/Space and it just won't work or respond at all under Tiger. I've checked for conduit conflicts and there are none. Yet I keep hearing that it works for so many others. What the heck I am doing wrong?

I'm pretty sure I don't need a separate Palm conduit if I'm using iSync 2.0.
I'm not at all clear whether I need to have Palm Desktop and the Palm Software 4.2.1 installed or not (it is), and if it is, do I need to disable the Transport Monitor and other startup items like that.

Help me!!!!

If you re-read my initial post, I think you can tell that I'm quite beyond the point covered in that knowledgebase article, unfortunately. Thanks for the reference, though.

MarkSpace states clearly that the missingsync doesn't work in Tiger.

There is a Beta version though. Is that what you have? If Beta maybe. If v1.1, then no.

Uh... it's always worked fine for me. The lastest update specifically addressed Tiger issues.

I tried all last night to beat TMS into submission. I failed.

Um, no.

selowitch, I assume you've gone into iSync and gone through the Devices | Enable Palm OS Syncing wizard and are running TMS 4.0.5 correct? Try launching TMS and iSync first and then press the HotSync button on your Palm device. Are you getting any errors on your Mac at all? Check the Sync Logs in TMS.

Yep. Build 63.

The TMS sync log is utterly empty. Pressing the HotSync button produces a brief signal from iSync that it's syncing, but that's a lie. It says "Synchronization complete" a moment later, also a total lie.

ISync log says:
Code:
12:22:30 PM Connecting to Sam Elowitch 12:22:30 PM Device "Sam Elowitch" connected

In TMS, do you have the Profile set to synchronize All Conduits? Are they all checked and set to Synchronize? Are the Last Synced times updating each time you try to sync?

So at least you know the conduits are not updating. What Palm device do you have?

Palm m515 (running PalmOS 4.1 , I think). I'd prefer not to get a new one because I don't know of one that is as thin or as light that also doesn't cost me anything (I got it as a hand-me-down). I'm upset b/c TMS is supposed to "just work" but so far it's even worse than Palm HotSync!!!

Maybe my iSync conduit is corrupt per this article. I'm going to try the steps they recommend but I'm not optimistic.

EDIT: Still no luck. I have a support ticket with MarkSpace but I admit I am feeling quite pessimistic.
