I am trying to find a way to take a piece of text and to get the mac to read it back to me. I remember doing this years ago in OS 9, but cannot for the life of me find how to do it in Tiger!!

Any ideas gratefully received....

Edit > Speech > Start Talking (in Tiger).

Select the text, then go to the Application Menu (Safari, Mail or whatever is the current application)->Services->Speech->Start Speaking Text
