Hi! I am a new Mac user. Just wondering if anyone could recommend me a good BitTorent client program that I could use with the Mac OS 10.4. Please provide a link too. Thanks very much!!!

My personal preference is Azureus. It's a Java app, which means that there is some overhead and ugliness associated with Java, but it is also the most featureful and customizable of any BitTorrent client I've seen so far.

The official client used to be pretty bad on OSX, but with Version 4.0 it got very good, and is definitely worth checking out. Personally, though, I use Azureus.

I keep my ol' pc around and run BitComet on it. That way I don't have to waste CPU cycles on my main machine.

BitTornado might be worth a try as well.
I tried it a couple of months ago, and it worked great. But I personally like having all my torrents in a single application window, so I removed it.

the official BT client is nice but there's two things I didn't like about it:
1. I like the upload speed to be displayed on the right side [not the left]
2. also, you can set the max global upload speed, but not each individual torrent, like azureus can.
[though not as important: azureus can download specific files in a torrent]

The official client's UI as of version 4 is also hideously ugly and is dysfunctional in some ways.

Might I ask how? Although it's not perfect, I think it's a huge improvement over the UI of previous versions.

1. Open TorrentWindow.nib in Interface Builder and move them.
2. Yes you can. Simply add "Maximum Upload Rate" to the toolbar.
