Is Al Franken a good show? What topics does he usually cover?

None. I don't get it. With RSS I can scan things really quickly... with audio I actually have to listen, and it can take 30-60 minutes. Unfortunatley, I don't have that kind of time.

I'm curious to know why when I click "subscribe" to the Pete & Geoff Virgin Radio show, it asks me if I wish to subscribe, and then it doesn't do anything.. any ideas?

TWiT- it's just about the same length of time that it takes me to mow the yard.

Well, maybe for some people podcasts are a welcome entertainment WHILE doing something (more or less) productive, like mowing the lawn, running, working out, commuting...?

Yep, I'm listening to twit regularly and a couple of others. I do a lot of long bicycle rides while training for a couple of events. I'm out for 2-4 hours at a time. Podcasts are great for relieving the monotony of the road. I probably wouldn't just sit and listen while doing nothing, but for driving and cycling, I find them more enjoyable than the radio.

I've also had some problems subscribing. I try to subscribe to Al Frankin and nothing happens. I can click on individual "tracks" and stream them but not download for ipod.

Any suggestions?
thanks

What on earth are you talking about? I can listen to a podcast while I am driving to work, working out, preparing dinner, hoovering the house, taking a shower etc etc.
It's about as productive as it gets.

Don't worry, it's just another naysayer than doesn't get it... there are people out there who don't listen to the radio either. Some people lead boring lives.

So-far I listen to inside mac radio on my drive to work daily and TWIT while mowing the lawn (seem to be a common thing here) once a week.

I am looking to add more, since my work ride is 4hrs daily.
