I'd love to know the answer to this, too...a backup utility that can split data over the course of several DVD-R's. When I backed up my iTunes music, I had to copy the MP3's to another folder, split it up into 5 folders each containing 4.2-ish GB of files, and burn manually. That sucked!

I've heard good things about Dragon Burn, but can't vouch if it allows this functionality or not.

This is very easy right from within iTunes. Just set the iTunes prefs to create data DVDs, select your entire library, then burn away. iTunes will write a disc, then ask for another and so forth, until everything is backed up. Then, just make a Smart Playlist that contains all music added after the day you did your backup. The next time you feel like backing up, you'll only need to backup the Smart Playlist.

Oh, my GAHD Butch that's genius! I'd always assumed that once I stuck a data DVD in my Super Drive that it'd spit it back out saying there's not enough room like Toast did. I'll give that a shot once I get my Mac back from the USPS. Thank you!

Louis_SX,

I didn't know about this either, until I read a tutorial all about it on iPodlounge. Here's a link to the article:

The Complete Guide to Backing Up iPod & iTunes Music

I've done it and it works great.

You need MacTheRipper (which is free) and Popcorn (which is not). The combination of the two will let you do what you want.
