Ok, as I am a novice to Automator... I tried to send a "happy forth of july" message to all my friends...

So this is what I did.

1. Made message, added subject, and placed into drafts box
2. Went into Automator program, selected Mail, and then dragged "Group Mail" function over to the right hand side of the screen.
3. Selected "First Name" option.
4. Pressed "run"

This is where I got an error box because I didn't place the message into the outbox... then I thought, Wait, where is the outbox in the mail app, it disappears after your messages are sent. So this is what I did next.

5. Put mail app in "off-line" mode.
6. Placed a email address into the "to" field, and presssed "send"
7. Went back to Automator and pressed "run"

Again the program failed to send any messages... the same error message came up. "There is no outgoing Mail message. (-2700)"

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make this work?

It's a known bug that should be addressed in the coming 10.4.2 update.
