Hi there,

I've just switched from windows to mac (powerbook os x 10.3) and after 6 months or so or hassel free, effortless use I realise I don't really have a clue what to do when things go wrong. I've been using Stickybrain for a few months and upgraded from 3.5.0 to 3.6.0 (not sure why).

After the upgrade when I try and log in i get 'Unable to connect to database. Unable to connect to the database because: Incorrect password'. I am then unable to access the application. I've used SB quite a bit and as you can imagine I've got loads of stuff i really don't want to lose.

I've had a look on the web and believe i need to uninstall SB and then reinstall it but first i need to save my SB database. I'm really a bit lost as to what i should do or how i should do it. Any help would be hugely appreaciated (even if it is read the book "mac os for dummies").

thanks

You should be able to uninstall SB (DO NOT select "uninstall database"!), re-install 3.5, back up the data base (unless you were thinking and did this ahead of time, which you should 100% ALWAYS do when upgrading), uninstall 3.5, install 3.6, and restore the database from the backup.

Easy.
