Just started with FileMaker Pro 7.0.

How can I keep a running history of specific information? In a case of creating a registration database, how can I create a field that compiles something that states a person took a class on this date at this time and so on.

Everytime I change one specific field, I want a new field to record those changes in order in which they were modified.

Does this make sense?

I'm feeling a little frazzled with learning everything, so I may be just not seeing the obvious.

There are a number of ways of doing this... but I think you are missing the obvious: you need to have a second table for all of the classes a person took and link it in with a portal.

Coach, I saw exactly what you are looking for, the other day. Sorry, I can't remember where I saw it. I thought it was interesting but, not being in education I had no use for it.

I'd suggest that you go to the Filemaker web site, they have a lot of free solutions you can download. If I remember right, there is a category specific to education.
