iphoto + tiger = dead images???

so i upgraded to tiger and am having these problems:

-blank spots where photos should be
-crashing
-"iphoto is not responding"
-will not export (crashes or "iphoto is not responding")
-new albums created after tiger upgrade are partually or completely lost quiting iphoto and restarting

is there an upgrade or bug fix, i ran software updated and download all the updates that showed up automaticly, is there anything i can do to fix these problems?
