Did you ever have a software problem that annoys you to no end? This is one of those. Every-time I double click on a photoshop file, it opens Photoshop CS but it does not open the file! I have deleted the photoshop preferences and have made a new user but nothing works.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You are on Tiger? Reinstall PhotoShop. Known bug and there have been several threads on this.

Seen this before. No need to reinstall Photoshop

Assuming you did an Archive & Install to Tiger here, eh?

Make sure Photoshop is not running.
Copy (or move) Adobe Unit Types from
/Previous Systems/Library/ScriptingAdditions
to
/Library/ScriptingAdditions
