i just got my new powerbook today and ive been transfering stuff over from my PC's external hard drive. i copied all my pictures and stuff over, but when i try importing them into iPhoto it says its an invalid file type or its corrupted or something (even though they're all JPGs). It opens in preview if i click on it from the finder, but iPhoto wont let me import them.

What happens if you "Save As" out of Preview as a .jpg (with a new name)?

yea that works...but i got like 6000 pictures....ugh
